Sylvania Marina Delivers Caribbean 40 #200

Sylvania Marina Delivers Caribbean 40 #200

With such grim news taking the headlines lately, we thought we’d change things up a little and show you some details on one spectacular Caribbean 40 recently delivered to its new owner in Queensland.

The first thing you notice about Tag & Brag, Caribbean 40 FBC Build No. 200, is the is the striking red-wrapped hull, however, it’s upon closer inspection that you come to realise just how much has been done to this classic Australian built boat to meet the owners specifications.

Most of the additions we fitted to this boat have been custom made using some of the best trades in the business.

When boarding the boat from the rear, you can’t help but notice, without a marlin board, the stainless steel trim tab guards sitting just under the waterline, but it’s the Marine Deck under foot that jumps out, offering a durable, non-slip and good looking surface in both the cockpit and flybridge. What you don’t notice though is the rear opening cockpit window or that the saloon door is hinged instead of the traditional slider, to make way for a custom-made fibreglass fridge box on starboard side, complete with custom made flybridge ladder to suit and cushions turning all the boxes into cockpit seating.

The flybridge dash has been filled with an impressive Furuno electronics package, including three TZ touch screens, 1 and 2kw sounder, 3D imagining, open scanner radar, auto pilot, satellite compass and more. Add to this the trim tab controls, bow thruster control, high water bilge alarm panel, USB charging points and all associated switch gear there isn’t room for to much else.

It doesn’t end there either, The saloon boasts 16000BTU air con, leather upholstery, polished teak galley, Ice maker, Bar fridge, 240v fridge with separate deep freeze and an extra hanging robe fitted to the front cabin. Of course there is also the unique #200 build plaque.

The more you look at Tag & Brag, the more small details and fixtures you start to see, here’s a list of some of the things you might not notice immediately:

  • Reelax maxi riggers and centre rigger.
  • Swivelling rod holders
  • Clearing rod holders
  • Underwater lights
  • Inbuilt gerni
  • Rope guards
  • Tackle lockers
  • Tackle station
  • 250kg Davit
  • Cockpit spotlights
  • Cockpit strip lighting
  • Removeable dive ladder and loads more.

All in all, we’re extremely proud of the boat that Tag & Brag has become. The owner was particular with what he wanted in his boat, and I’m happy to say that Sylvania Marina was able to work with the Caribbean factory, and our own team, to deliver every detail to the customer.
